Contact and Messages

The app is intended for building a visually impactive video, combining a moving picture (video or “movie”) and “still” photo. Photos can tell a story in a moment, like a graph, whereas videos take more time to make their statement. They can both advance each other’s message and meaning.
The application has no advertisements, no requirement for login and password, no secondary business agenda, and does not save, transmit, or access information outside of your direction. The app is designed as a tool, one you control, to promote your creativeness and productivity without interruptions or distraction.
Begin with the basic video and photo to see the process. First, click New session on the welcome page. The comment banner about audio and DRM will appear only once when started. The next page allows you to add your photo in a recognizable iPhone/iPad manner. A photo picker of your photos will appear when you press the button to Select.... Scroll if necessary. Then click one photo one time where it will be added to your canvas. At this page you can move (long-press) and reshape the photo in the familiar press and drag interaction, or the pinch and zoom fashion. Part of the photo can be moved off of the visual field, and also return from the edge as you move it about. Positional cropping is one of several ways, such as magnification, to call attention to a section or feature of the photo.
Next choose your video when you press the video Select... button. The picker returns with your videos preferentially set aside without photographs. Choose one video, it is added to your canvas on top of the photo. If they are “busy” images they may at first appear to meld. We can separate the video from photo in multiple ways. For now, we make a standard video in picture effect as follows. Press the Video button, that is, click the gear-shape icon in the upper right corner of the screen (a number of other buttons have appeared in the bottom toolbar) and a settings window will appear. Next, click the Line option of the Frame Edges category -> a line appears around your video. In the same settings window, click the Square checkbox in the Video Frame category. Your video image morphs to a square, with line edging. Pull down the settings window to remove the settings window. You may directly tap the video image to change the line color to white. The application decides, depending on frame size, the area to crop when the image dimensions are changed. Presently, the app does not offer alternatives for the area of focus, except to choose from available frames and orientation. The video's complete visual field and photo's image are placed in working memory.
Move (long-press) the video and photo images where you want them to appear. The video duration badge tells your approximate recording time. We are ready to preview and record. Press the Preview button and follow the messages through a process of preparation. Press the Accept button at the caption window. This is a normal step in the sequence. Then, press the Record and Proceed buttons of the messaging windows. Toolbars and buttons disappear from your canvas as your production takes life. When recording starts, the device is using the standard “screen recording” process. So plan accordingly, to wait for the video to play. Take care not to rotate the device during recording.
When recording ends, choose to Save or Cancel. You may also Share to post, publish, and push where you prefer. Saving a video to Library makes it part of your general collection. Note here, several versions may look quite similar to the original video and photo, and so in this way flood the original images in a sea of new recordings -> an album or collection for the app versions is recommended.
The screen will return to the canvas ready for your next version. You may decide to try some options, such as picture in video.
Duration badge: the time display at the top of the screen can be pressed to make visible the canvas grid, which may assist you with layout. Press again to remove the grid (the grid does not appear on the recording). Swipe left on the badge to bring the square shape to the canvas. Swipe again for the circle shape, again for both shapes. Finally, swipe to remove the shapes. Shapes are only available for the standard canvas. Their use is described in a separate section.
Video button: a video button with icon is located at top right, to present settings in a pop-up window.
Photo button: the photo button with icon is located at top left of main screen, and is not present in all modes. The action at first brings a message to screen describing the effect. The photo and video layers are adjusted, so the video is forward, and then vice versa. This is one way a picture in video presentation can be arranged. Also, a shape can appear in front of the video with this method.
Rotation icon: video and photograph images can be rotated independently to 360˚.
Dark and light option: located in lower left of screen. This button controls black and white background.
Audio files: located next to video button. Allows music and voice files to play over the sound track.
Video toggle: located in the lower left panel of buttons. Turns on and off the appearance of video image.
Reset button: lower right area of screen. Restart the app. Reset all settings, imaging, and composition.
Shapes are offered in the standard mode. Square and circle are the available shapes; square in black and circle in white colors. The grid is required to show them. They have handles that serve functions. The blue handle moves the shape about the canvas (long-press is necessary for movement on screen). Tapping the blue handle activates a highlight effect. The shape becomes edged and the center is clear. Tap again and the shape is filled as before. Side handles adjust dimensions from 1:1 to approximately 16:9 when pushed together or apart. The green handle moves the height to as small as one grid space. Note the additional effect on circle of creating an oval outline. Both shapes can be rotated. Although the screen can seem crowded with shapes and handles, grid and rotation bars, the overlay should disappear when recording takes place.
The equal edge in the settings window provides a distinctive environment for presentation. There are restrictions to options that were available in standard mode, such as the photograph rotation is no longer available. However, the introduction of two equal frames with lined options, as well as the ability to offer slideshow with several photographs and cinematic effect, gives the surroundings a diverse set of features.
User Guide | Step by Step
This guide describes how to create slideshow-style videos. A slideshow automatically transitions through multiple background photos during recording, creating a synchronized presentation that can be saved to library, with optional audio, video, and captioning.
Single-Photo | Multi-Photo

Duration-Based Timing
When you attach audio, the app divides time as part of the calculation.
Example: 30-second audio file, 5 photos
Example: 20-second audio file, 6 photos with Visual-effect pages
Interval-Based Timing (no Audio file)
Without audio, each photo displays for interval based on video duration:

Answers | Recommendations
You can select 2-20 photos. For best performance and viewer experience, 5-7 photos is recommended, and video up to a minute’s duration. Video under 2 second duration is not accepted for composition.
Currently, photos appear in the order selected. To reorder, reselect them in the desired sequence, when the composition is initiated.
No. Each photo will display and the video-audio will play (even when invisible). However, consider recording a silent video, in whole or part, if audio over-dub or silence is intended with photo show. For example, the video may have a silent portion where a recording has been voice-coordinated independently (with silent and verbal portions): the audio file is then added to sequence and dovetails with slideshow and video sound (with or without visible video).
No, the slideshow advances automatically once recording starts. You can stop recording at any time by swiping the app closed, and in some cases by rotating the device, but the appearance and duration will be affected accordingly.
If using visual-effect pages, regular photos may get more time. The app balances timing to fit the video-audio duration while evaluating minimum interval times. Some adjustments of timing also adapt to the way screen-recording operates.
This app is designed for photo slideshow with one video. Video clips are not currently supported as multi-choice.
Videos are saved to your Photo Library in the "Videos" album (or "Recents"). You can also share directly from the app after recording. Manually adding-moving the versions to collection and album is advised.
Timing is calculated automatically after preview based on video-audio duration and photo count. For manual control, record with shorter/longer audio and adjust the number of photos, before the composition advances to preview.
The app is making a best adaptation based on perception of the video motion and detection of content. This calculation may not yield the preferred result, and so consider changing the orientation and frame of the image. For example, tapping the Capsule view video image may resolve the concern by changing the orientation.
The application has its' quirks and divots. Even programs evolve over time.
The privacy page helps you understand what data your photos contain (location, depth info, captions, audio) so you can make an informed choice about access levels.
Full Access lets the app see your entire photo library and metadata. Limited Access lets you choose specific photos to share. Both work for slideshows, but Limited Access requires manually selecting which photos the app can see.
